This blog is a mirror of a site set up to write impressions on Imamura's films as they were shown for a Retrospective by the Austin Film Society in Austin in 1999. The Web 2.0 and blogs were not in full swing yet. Blogs are more interactive. Hence, the purpose for this blog now.
